Vilain-Innovations Literary Agency represents fiction and non-fiction authors. We read all scripts we receive and accept writers who are willing to develop their talents and skills. No expenses are involved for the assessment of the manuscript. Please, consider that we get many requests and we need time to do each manuscript justice. When your manuscript is interesting and worthwhile, you will be invited for an interview.
Editorial
- We help you plan the concept of your book or media product.
- We guide you in writing the proposal to a publisher or other documentation needed
to promote or sell your product.
- You can always consult us for assistance.
Business
- We help you with copyright and other legal concerns for protecting your work.
- We negotiate with publisher, film or other media company: advance,royalties.licensing fees and other related revenues.
- We also monitor the entire process: before, during and after the publication of your work.
Promotion
- We work with the client and publisher for a solid promotion of your book.
- We help you develop your own media platform for promoting your work.
Creative
- If you are a new author or a busy established author, we help you find the collaborators or outsources you need to help you make your work more fun.
Terms
- If we are to represent you, a contract will be signed in which mutual obligations are laid down.
- We retain twelve percent commission on domestic sales, and twenty percent on foreign sales. We do not charge you for our time and expertise in reviewing, editing, and developing your book for sale. Our agency has contacts with publishers in Europe and the United States and attends the Annual Book Fair in Frankfurt. The Frankfurt Book Fair is the biggest book and media fair in the world with around 7,400 exhibitors from over 100 countries.
